In the fall of 2014 two high school teachers from Randolph Public Schools in Randolph, NE decided to add a little something to the downtown area of the small town and add a little adventure to the summer months. A small building was purchased and renovated with the vision of an ice cream and sandwich shoppe in mind. Through the work of family and friends over a busy winter and spring, vision became reality the following the summer in 2015 when The Frozen Cow (named by students at the high school) opened its window in May.
In the summer of 2023 The Frozen Cow moved a block west! They added in door seating.
Visiting the shoppe you will notice the unique outside décor as well as the ever-changing writing on the windows, menu board and sidewalks! Check out the windows to find new specials and a current list of custom ice creams as well as any upcoming events for The Frozen Cow.
The Frozen Cow also likes to keep things lively in the small town! From handing out random "free" item tickets at local ball games, to sending the dancing cow around town during the Randolph Fair to challenge fair goers with fun activities, there is always something being cooked up at The Cow to entertain. Plus you never know who or what you will run into down at the shoppe. This is, after all, small town Nebraska!
