The Final Curtain is a celebration of legacy, community, and the enduring power of theater at Moline High School. More than a performance, this production honors the generations of students whose lives were shaped on the MHS stage, and the educators who inspired them to find their voice, confidence, and sense of belonging through the arts.

Directed by longtime Moline High School theater director Susan Wignall, The Final Curtain brings together past, present, and future MHS students in a rare, intergenerational theatrical experience. Alumni performers return to the stage alongside current students and those just beginning their theatrical journeys, creating a powerful reflection of continuity, mentorship, and shared history.

At its heart, The Final Curtain is also about giving back. All proceeds raised after production costs will support a theater scholarship fund for Moline High School students, ensuring that future performers have access to the same transformative opportunities that generations before them experienced. The scholarship fund reflects a commitment to equity, access, and the belief that the arts play a vital role in education and personal growth.

Founded by MHS alumni and guided by educators and community leaders who understand the lasting impact of theater education, The Final Curtain exists to honor the past while investing in the future. It is a love letter to the stage that shaped so many lives, and an invitation to the community to be part of its next chapter.
