Free Home Learning Resources Now Available!
Here at the Everyday Scientist Programme we are keen to get as many people involved in the initiative as possible, so we thought we would make our resources available to anyone to download. Please find some of our supporting resources below. You are welcome to print, copy and use with your class and alter as you see fit to meet the needs of your classroom.
We developed this resource to be cut out and stuck into the children's science books. This prompts children's thinking about how the subject knowledge from the lesson can be contextualised into their everyday lives. Children should write a response below the slip.
You can copy these slides to the end of your ppt or use as a standalone presentation. Use this ppt as a prompt and a focus point for your plenary to start the children thinking about what they have learnt.
Week 1's activity is a simple sketching activity. Children should use the document above to draw what they think a scientist looks like. Children will complete this activity at the end of the club programme to see how their ideas have changed.
