"Prior to the 2000s, the town was pretty evenly divided between Caucasian and African American. New technologies have come into the town which has pushed up some of the declining populations. With this change in industry, the the past few years have seen a rise in Latin and Asian populations moved into the region as well as some folks who moved away 'came back home.'"
