In the Community
The Enough Foundation partners with Call Federal Credit Union to provide youth with financial literacy skills and follows through with opening business accounts.
Youth learn the importance of knowing where every dollar goes in and out of their businesses and the importance of paying yourself.
Call Federal Credit Union has been a vital partner in the program's success beyond the classroom.
During their annual customer service event, Call Federal Credit Union support entrepreneur Amanni S., pictured below, by purchasing many gallons of her own organic lemonade so that members of the financial institute can try the delicious beverage!
Youth Spotlight
Meet Mila, Owner of Mental Health Boxes.
MH Boxes began as a vision brought to life by Mila , a young advocate determined to make mental health support more accessible and relatable for Black girls facing unique challenges. At just 12 years old, Mila started MH Boxes in January 2024 after receiving a microgrant for the Black Girl Joy Challenge, a funding opportunity from the Pete and Thomas Foundation and Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium. With this support, she created care packages filled with items like journals, self-care essentials, affirmations, and other wellness tools. These boxes serve as a comforting support system, designed to help young girls prioritize their mental well-being, nurture a positive self-identity, and feel valued and seen.
Mila’s own journey with mental health, as well as her lived experiences as a biracial Black girl, shape MH Boxes’ mission. She understands firsthand the stigma surrounding mental health discussions in some communities, as well as the need for resources that resonate with the experiences of Black girls. Recognizing that Black girls are often underrepresented in mental health conversations, she created MH Boxes to provide a safe, affirming space that honors and supports them.
