I've just discovered Blooket this past school year and it was a savior! Blooket includes a variety of game based question sets. I assign some lessons from their vast library or create specific test reviews on my own. My students BEG me to assign a Blooket. I even join in on the fun and play. They love trying to beat the teacher!
First off, it's FREE! Epic is a digital library of books on all reading levels. It gives students easy access to some of the most popular authors. Teachers can set up class rosters and track student progress. I love using Epic for research. Check out the lesson section of this site for ideas on how I use Epic in my classroom.
I'm sure you've heard of Quizizz by now. It is a fun way to find and create free gamified quizzes. I love to use the quizzes as reviews before tests. However, the part I LOVE the MOST about Quizizz are the interactive lessons. The interactive lessons are like an amplified PowerPoint or Google Slides. Questions are incorporated into lessons to check student learning. No more need for an exit ticket!
If you aren't using ClassDojo to help build your classroom community, then you are missing out. As a teacher, you can instantly share photos, videos, and announcements with any parent. It's way more than just a behavior tracker. You can access lessons on mindfulness, positive thinking, and more. Students can create and share portfolios. There are also so many teacher tools such as a voice level monitor which is one of my favorites! If you haven't looked into their new features, do yourself a favor and head to their website.
This is my go to website for research. Each year my students complete mini reports on animals, states, space, and more. I send them to National Geographic Kids to complete their research because I know it is a safe site that doesn't include any ads! The site even has educational videos and games. My students love to explore this site.
