Purpose of the Dowdy Outreach Program
The Dowdy Outreach Program (DOP), formerly known as the Dowdy Test Prep Initiative, is sponsored by the Dowdy Scholars Enrichment Program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. We have re-branded and virtualized our program to engage students while complying with social distancing regulations. Our mission statement is to help students ensure college admission, while facilitating their academic and personal growth. We provide students with ACT/SAT test preparation, school subject tutoring, scholarship awareness, college preparatory information, mental health advocacy, community service initiatives and more! We have a host of dedicated tutors, mentors, ambassadors, lesson plan creators and college preparatory coordinators who are committed to the success of each student!
Saturday Study Blitz Sessions
The DOP will be hosting Saturday Study Blitz sessions during Spring 2024 but will mainly have virtual sessions. The Saturday virtual outreach sessions will allow high school students establish meaningful contact with our DOP facilitators from around the US.
