August 2026: Lance has officially wrapped up his summer research on the transition-metal-free synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic molecules. After a summer filled with reactions, TLC plates, columns, NMR samples, mysterious spots, and the occasional “Why is this reaction not working?!” moment, the chemistry has come together!

June 2026: The Do Research Group is pleased to welcome Lance Peterson, who has officially begun his summer research program with the group. Lance will be conducting research under the SURE Program and the Wideman Summer Research Scholarship. We are excited to have him join the team and look forward to his contributions to our research efforts this summer.
