TEKS-aligned Black history your textbooks left out — with narration your students will actually listen to.
The Classroom Collective is a membership for Texas teachers built on "Left Out of the History Books," the 12-volume series by Carlos L. Young Sr. Every volume is an interactive edition with built-in narration — the towns, innovators, educators, soldiers, and movements that standard textbooks skipped, told in full. The series and Educator Pack are mapped to the TEKS Social Studies strands — History, Government, Geography, Culture, and Science/Technology/Society — covering grade 4 and grade 7 Texas history, grade 8 U.S. History, and high school U.S. History and African American Studies (§113.51).
