These three lessons introduce high school students to the Dent site through real-world applications of the science and social studies standards!
First, students learn about facts vs. theories and using evidence to defend a claim about what actually happened at the Dent site. Second, they dive into the math behind radiocarbon dating, half-lives, and isotopes. Last, a social studies lesson challenges the "caveman" image in pursuit of a more complex understanding of early Colorado peoples.
