Hello parents! Are you feeling overwhelmed by all of the baby products or don't know what else to add to your registry? Here are the items that I personally found 100% useful and worth the investment. I'm making this list at 10 months postpartum - so I've had 10 months to reflect on what works and what does not work for my baby. Make sure to add them to your baby shower/ baby registry list!
Non Toxic Baby Care Products
If you're like me, I love to do my own research to opt for non-toxic baby care products. But, it can be exhausting and time consuming, especially if you have older kids running around. That is why I also use the OrganiBaby Ultimate Guide to Toxin Free Baby Products as my quick go-to. Don't forget to check out her instagram account @the.organimama and podcast "The OrganiMama" (for a discount code to the guide) as well!
Baby Device
Brand: MomCozy. I've been using this nail filer 3x a week. Baby's nails grow SO fast and can be surprisingly sharp even when they're not long.
Brand: Grownsy. I use this every time my baby has a boogie or a cold. It's VERY useful and reassuring during a cold.
This affordable Hello Baby monitor does the job wonderfully. It has no wifi, so it has lower EMF and you don't have to worry about it getting hacked.
Baby Skin & Health Care
The products below are recommended based on my own experience. I am not a doctor/ healthcare provider, the items listed are not medical advice. Please consult with your trusted provider if you have questions regarding these products.
EarthMama unscented baby lotion works like wonders. It is soothing, it smells amazing, great for eczema, and it's made with natural ingredients.
Brand: Honest. This 2-in-1 soap and shampoo is formulated without toxic substance and is gentle for baby (and good for you too!).
The Little Remedies saline nasal mist is VERY useful and reassuring to have during a cold. It's made with only sterile water and salt.
Natural and safe remedy for teething. It's flavorless and easy to give to baby.
For 6-12m. Vitamin D is important for bone development and the immune system, especially during winter (cold season). My baby approved!
For 6-12m. Vitamin C is great to support the immune system during cold season. My baby approved!
For 6-12m. Great gut support for infant who is starting solids! Also important to establish balanced and healthy gut microbiome for overall health. My baby approved!
Baby Carriers
Great for newborns! I used my Boba wrap everyday up to 15 lbs (it can carry more than 15 lbs, but at that point baby was too heavy for me).
Baby Clothes
There are TONS of baby clothes out there. If you're first time parents, you're going to get LOTS of baby clothes at your shower. So, make sure to list the ones your baby will actually use. Opt for those that are made with 100% cotton with either GOTS certification or OEKO-TEX.
Brands I love (100% cotton and affordable, wait for sales!):
Burt's Bees
Carter's Little Planet
Honest (great basic wear)
I'd personally say no to:
newborn clothes (they grow up so fast! especially if you start with a 8lb+ baby)
socks (it's very easy to lose them, a footed onesie is easier. If you need some they're always affordable to get it at your own time.)
mittens (it's very easy to lose them. They prevent baby to play and explore with their hands.)
white clothes (prone to stain from poop and solids)
I'd personally say yes to:
Clothes size 3-12 months (I love footed PJs with zipper - not buttons or snaps, long sleeve onesies, & pants)
Gender neutral solid-colored clothes (so versatile, great for classic basics, can be re-used for future babies!)
