In the midst of the raging heat from the sun, one could still stand up and indulge a smile from the scowling faces of the Senior High School Students (SHS).
A 7th grade student unintentionally emitted a bright smile from the SHS students of Mangaldan National High School. 12-year-old John Reynald B. Guiaoj also known as “Totopak kid” was pushed in the middle of the crowd and did his signature dance “Totopak.”.
While the SHS students of MNHS was waiting for the fire assembly to begin, Reynald stated that he was pushed by his friends to suddenly dance in the middle of the assembly venue “Sumayaw na din po ako kasi wala ako magawa” Reynald said.
“Si Totopak kid? Napasaya niya kami, naging proud lang ako, kasi stress na kami noon eh ta sang init, tas bigla nalang siya gumanon, parang nagkaroon lang tayo ng wholesome moment non, nagsisigawan, nagchecheer. Nakakatuwa lang talaga,” Justin Mejia from grade 11 ABM commented about Reynald.
When he was asked about the comments that were given about his dance “Masaya ako, masaya na marami akong napasayang tao sa trip-trip ko, wala nakakabusog lang ng puso” Reynald answered with a bright smile.
Many were thrilled about the circumstances that occurred during the fire assembly, many were laughing, videotaping, and taking pictures of the interaction between the 7th grade student and the Senior High School Students, majority of the SHS students voiced out hoping that more of those moments could happen and add to their core memory.
It doesn’t take much effort or energy to put a smile on people’s faces, a simple gesture could make someone’s day a whole lot better.
