Working in the golf maintenance industry takes a complex and unique set of skills ranging from agronomics to leadership to budgetary and business acumen. Over the course of my career, I have learned from the best and have developed into a battled-tested, passionate professional.
I represented Dedham Country & Polo Club from 2016-2020 as the Golf Course Superintendent. The club is currently ranked 19th in Golf Digest “Best in State” rankings in Massachusetts, achieving its first ever ranking in 2021 after my programs have been fully implemented. Dedham has undertaken many course improvements and construction projects since my arrival. These projects have given me the talents required to manage large or small renovations with in-house or contractor staffs.
I have been associated with several other world-class clubs, including Muirfiled Village Golf Club, Belfair Plantation and Kirtland Country Club. These opportunities provided a chance to set up and host major golf events that created a base of knowledge that I use daily to deliver championship conditions to my membership.
In addition to my agronomic expertise, I have strong abilities in both management and communication. Through project oversight and daily updates on conditions, I have acquired the ability to effectively communicate with staff, club officials, media, and most importantly—members.
While I am incredibly focused on the job at hand, I also understand that a successful professional must have a well-rounded life. When I am not on the course, I am blessed to spend time with my family. Born and raised in the small rural town of Deshler, Ohio. I am the oldest of three siblings with a brother and sister. My family made a living operating a 1,200 acre farm with numerous crops and also raised beef cattle.
In 2012, I married my wife Amy, who was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio. Amy attended Ohio University and received her Bachelor's degree in Education and currently teaches 6th grade Science. Our family grew in January 2019 when we were blessed with the arrival of our son, Jack.
