Zorin

Personality:

Zorin is angry, rude, and uncaring for others. Being an Ambassador for his planet, he’s very good at putting on a proper mask to seem polite, inviting, and open to conversation. This mask quickly drops when he’s not in a situation where it’s needed, but it will always be a front in new places or with new people to create a proper impression. 

Strengths & Abilities:

• Claws to scratch with

Zorin has retractable claws with a burning acid-like material underneath. He usually has his claws sheathed, but he’s not afraid to use them if the need comes for it.

• Teeth to maul with

He doesn’t use his teeth to fight as often, it’s more like a last resort over anything.

• Quick thinking

Due to his training, Zorin has the ability to think quickly, even in stressful situations. He can often use this thinking to gain the advantage in moments of distress.

• Pilot training

Zorin knows how to pilot any type of flying transportation.

• His antennae and tail change color depending on his mood

An important trait for Venusians, and a way to share in depth emotional communication. This makes him a bit easier to read, even if he doesn’t emote much with his face.

• Speed

Zorin is quite speedy, able to run on all fours if the moment calls for it.

• High heat resistance

Being from Venus, he has an incredible heat resistance. He could probably stand in fire if he wanted to, but he wouldn’t want to do that.

Weaknesses & Flaws:

• Stubborn

Having a hard head and a stubborn personality, Zorin has trouble making decisions with others as he usually believes whatever he can think of will be ultimately correct.

• Generally not that strong

While not weak, Zorin can’t put up much of a fight against someone vastly larger than himself.

• Humorless

He does not have a great sense of humor and it is hard to make him genuinely laugh or smile. This can make it hard for him to connect with others, since he will not even smirk at a good joke.

• Anger issues

Having a bad temper that is usually kept in a tight lock, Zorin is prone to explosive outbursts when put under pressure.

• Lacking empathy 

Zorin does not relate to others, and doesn’t usually feel bad for others whenever they’re in a negative situation.

• His antennae and tail change color depending on his mood

Zorin is aware of this weakness, and dislikes it greatly. He doesn’t like that people are able to read his emotions easily.

History & Summary:

Zorin was born like every other Venusian. From deep within the planet, he alongside many others hatched and clawed their way to the surface, where a caretaker picked them up to raise them as their own. Zorin had a normal childhood, but as he got older he only became stranger. He was shorter than his peers, and didn’t socialize as much as a young Venusian should. Usually, he was caught talking to himself or the wall, claiming he was talking to his friend. 

As he got older, and his peers grew distant from him, he put up a cold outer shell to withstand the even colder gazes from those around him(as he saw it). His “imaginary friend” no longer spoke to him and he was on his own. 

Eventually, once old enough to work, Zorin decided after a strange dream that he’d become a part of the AMBASSADOR program. He’d work hard so he could eventually go to Earth to create connections between the two planets. This quickly escalates once he’s away from home, as he reveals his dark and very bitter side to his crewmates and Earth itself.

With the title of the Venus Ambassador, and his not so imaginary friend back at his side, Zorin now had blood on his claws and began down a slippery slope of which he would be unable to return from.

 Zorin is shorter than most other Venusians, despite being fully grown. Being only 4’9’’, it doesn’t help that he’s usually slouching. His eyes are red and orange-ish, and his pupils are usually always small and focused giving him a bit of an off putting stare. His eyes, antenna, and tail are capable of glowing in the dark. The clothes he’s wearing are his uniform and he likes to keep it clean.

Zorin has retractable claws and teeth. He only has three fingers with no paw pads. His antennae and tail change color depending on how he’s feeling…usually it’s red or orange to match his eyes, but it gives off the impression that he’s always angry or upset in some way……..(He is)

• He talks with his hands sometimes, brief and quick motions

• Whenever he’s upset he talks through his teeth with a smile

• He hates it when people clear their throat

• He hates it when people pace

• He hates people

• His eyes flash between their two colors in a wave motion when emotions are intense

• He’s usually slouching but stands up straight when putting up his mask

• His mouth does not always need to be shown to signify he’s talking
