BY ANDREW D. WESTRY
Author’s Note: This poem is to be read to the bottom and then back up to the top. Every letter in the beginning of each sentence is a letter from my name, in descending order.
As the core unveils, you will find something uniquely sublime.
Never forget to take your time when looking between the lines.
Distracted by the surface will definitely lead you astray.
Reflecting images in the mirror will have you fixated all day.
Eventually you will begin to believe what you have always been told.
With every trait you acquire, the resemblance starts to unfold.
When you notice no change, don’t look for someone to blame.
Everyone will laugh at you little one, because you are not the same.
Still, try with all your might to appear different from the rest.
There is no rest for the wicked, no rewards for being the best.
Remember these words, so your life will be filled with fun.
You will find love in these lessons that I teach you, my sun.
