At forty-three, I am attempting to rebuild and repair my broke
Relationships with my son and daughter.
Will they forgive me for my mistakes?
Or is it too late?
At forty-three, I find myself back in prison,
Trying to rebuild my life that I’ve thrown away
Can it be rebuilt or
Is it too late?
As I write this, I am the first in my family to attend college.
This journey to higher education began at forty-three; I’ve also found that
I love reading books and learning.
But is it too late?
In my forty-three years, I have learned a lot, but four things seem to stick with me:
The first is to learn as much as I can
Because education is something no one can take away. The second is to forgive because we all make mistakes and will at some
point need to have that same forgiveness extended to us.
The third thing is to love and not be filled with anger, hate, and misery
Because life is too short.
And finally, the fourth and the most important of all;
No matter how old, and no matter where you are,
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO BECOME A BETTER PERSON!!
