We are proud to announce that Convolvulaceae has been officially accepted as a Taxonomic Expert Network (TEN) under the World Flora Online (WFO) initiative.
As a TEN, our role is to:
Curate and maintain all accepted taxonomic names within the Convolvulaceae family.
Ensure these names reflect the most up-to-date, peer-reviewed research.
Provide ongoing updates as new data and revisions become available.
This recognition marks a major step in consolidating Convolvulaceae taxonomy at the global level. We aim to contribute to a more accurate and stable classification system through transparent collaboration among experts.

A Taxonomic Expert Network is a collaborative group of taxonomists who focus on a specific plant group. Each TEN contributes to the World Flora Online by:
Reviewing and validating taxonomic information.
Reaching consensus on species classification through collaborative research.
Ensuring data accuracy for the global flora resource.
The WFO supports Target 1 of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation, aiming to provide an open-access, web-based Flora of all known plant species. With already over 1.6 million names and counting.
The Convolvulaceae TEN functions as a collaborative and decentralized network of taxonomists with expertise across different geographic regions and clades within the family, focussed on the Convolvulaceae plant family.
Currently, it consists of 16 specialists representing 11 countries of affiliation across four continents: Europe, Africa, Asia and America.
