What is Anti-Con?

Anti-Con is the Comic Underground's marathon. But, just as with everything else we do, we turn it up a notch. What if an IG comic community held its own online comic convention complete with ALL the parts of a con? Much more goes into attending a con than buying books. In addition to hosted sales, we are adding live sketch shows to mimic artist alley, and adding our popular Cawfee Tawk, our version of panels. And as we did when we first began, our giveaways will be tied to your actions while "at the con."

Why Anti-Con?

All we do at the Comic Underground is break the rules. When we started, we sought to offer claims sales differently, so we made them cheaper for sellers, increased credits to collectors, and improved data collection for sellers and ourselves. Before partnering with our friends at The ComicBook Newsstand, we turned consignment on its ear by offering it for nearly free. Anti-Con is our continued effort to break the mold and dare to be different, baking as much of the con fun into an IG model.

It is also our anniversary. So we thought, what could we do to spread positivity in the IG comic community around our birthday? We decided to hold an awards show to celebrate the people who make our corner of the IG comic community vibrant, fun, kind, and supportive. It isn't about who spends the most. Instead, who does the best job selling, packaging, cracking jokes, and inspiring the rest of us? Who does it with kindness and adds to the community? Welcome the Undies!
