About Ms. Borum

Born and raised in Detroit, Ms. Borum was educated in the Detroit Public School System starting with Pasture, Bethune and Weatherby elementary schools, Ann Arbor Trail Middle School and finally graduating from Redford High School in 1994.

She received a Bachelor of Arts in Afro-American and African Studies from the University of Michigan in 2006 and immediately began her work in higher education and student development as a Program Advisor in the Center for Campus Involvement and later as an Outreach Coordinator in the Center for Global and Intercultural Study.

In 2017, she was given the opportunity to serve as Special Projects Coordinator for Detroit City Councilman James Tate representing District 1 before returning to her roots in education and student development as our College Transition Advisor for Detroit School of Arts in the fall of 2019.

Fun Facts: Ms. Borum is a competitive Chicago Stepper, a Book Worm and loves planning Weddings!
