Bethlehem Area School District Stadium"THE CLIMB” is a September 11th memorial tribute event created by the Bethlehem Area School District that brings together Freedom and Liberty High Schools to honor and remember the victims and brave first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice during the attacks on the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. The goal of this symbolic stair climb, is for each participant to climb 2,200 stairs, equivalent to the 110 flights in one World Trade Center tower, or walk 3 miles around the BASD Stadium track, representing the extraordinary efforts first responders made in service to others.

On Friday, September 11, 2026, staff and students of Liberty and Freedom High Schools in the Bethlehem Area School District and first responders from the region, in partnership with the Never Forget Ride, will climb or walk to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
OUR CAUSE
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a nonprofit established in honor of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who made the ultimate sacrifice helping others on September 11, 2001. He lived by the philosophy of St. Francis Assisi, dedicating his life to doing good for others. The organization supports military members, first responders, and their families by providing mortgage-free homes, building smart homes for injured veterans, and working to end veteran homelessness. It also offers scholarships, delivers 9/11 educational programs, provides disaster relief, and assists children who have lost a parent.
OUR PARTNER
The Never Forget Ride is a cycling event commemorating the sacrifice of first responders during the 9/11 attacks at the World Trade Center. This year marks the 3rd annual ride. Proceeds support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
