Who are the preferred photographers for senior portraits?

What if I choose a photographer that is not one of your preferred photographers?

While we prefer that you use one of our photographers, you are welcome to choose any photographer you would like to use. However, be sure that your photographer understands the requirements for the photo to be included in the yearbook, and that they are aware of the deadline for photo submissions.

What is the deadline for the submission of Senior yearbook photos?

October 13th, 2023 is the the deadline, any submission after this date will be subject to a $15 late fee and will no longer be accepted after November 1.

How do I turn in my senior photo?

Submit  senior portraits through the eShare website at https://www.hjeshare.com . The school code is awest2024.  You can find the link and school code on our "Yearbook Announcements" page as well. All photos must be 300dpi and saved as a JPG file. Files must be saved as the senior's name (first and last).

What are the Senior photo requirements?

640x800@300 dpi

1. Color photos only

2. Plain/neutral background preferred; remember we want your face so head and shoulder shots please.

3. Full face view, facing forward

4. Clothing and jewelry must fit school dress code guidelines, especially no headgear/hats/sunglasses

5. No creative filters or photographic treatments

6. No weapons or hand signs of any kind

7. Avoid images revealing the 4Bs…bellies, butts, backs and breasts

8. 640x800@300 dpi

What is a senior bio?

A senior bio is the opportunity for seniors to be recognized for all the activities they participated in at Arvada West High School. The bio will acknowledge the activity and the years participated within a 25 character limit. We hope that this will serve as a way for each senior to remember their entire career at Arvada West.

When are senior bios due?

October 13th, 2023. Senior bios will be submitted at the time of photo submission through https://www.hjeshare.com  

Do you accept senior quotes?

No. We do not print or accept senior quotes. 

What is a Senior Dedication/Tribute (Baby Ad)?

Senior Dedications/Tributes are an opportunity for a parent, relative, friend, sports team, or other group to purchase space in the yearbook to honor a graduating senior (or group of seniors). Purchasing this space allows you to write a message to the senior and include at least one photo of the senior (depending on the amount of space purchased).  They are available through the Herff Jones link https://www.yearbookordercenter.com and will stop accepting responses on October 27th, 2023. 

How much do Senior Dedications cost?

1/8 PAGE - $100

1/4 PAGE - $150

1/2 PAGE -  $200

FULL PAGE - $400

When is the deadline for Senior Dedications/Tributes/Baby Ads?

October 27th, 2023 is the deadline for senior dedications. There will be no exceptions made to this deadline as the dedications section will go to print immediately following the deadline. Space for senior dedications is limited, and due to this, our submission window may close prior to our posted deadline. For this reason, we highly suggest that you purchase your baby ads early!
