LOW CODE FEST 2024
The Online Low Code Fest 2024 Award Ceremony.
Europeana Low-Code Fest is an international hackathon that brings together educators, students, and cultural heritage professionals to develop innovative educational projects using Europeana’s digital collections and APIs. Participants combined cultural heritage with education, technology, and social innovation through accessible digital tools requiring no previous coding experience.
We are proud to share an important milestone in the journey of our City of Troy Project. After becoming finalists at Low Code Fest, our student team successfully presented its innovative work and was awarded second place in the competition.
Through archaeological research, 3D modelling, and digital storytelling, the students visualised the historical layers of Troy and transformed its cultural heritage into an engaging educational experience.
Following this achievement, our team members received certificates from Europeana, recognising their participation, creativity, collaboration, and contribution to digital cultural heritage.
This success encouraged us to continue developing the project and sharing it at national and international conferences. What began as a student idea has grown into a meaningful journey connecting cultural heritage, STEAM education, and digital innovation.
Congratulations to our entire team!

Highlights from the Award Ceremony
As part of Low Code Fest, our City of Troy team participated in a valuable training programme that strengthened our skills in low-code technologies, digital creativity, project development, and storytelling organised by Europeana. The knowledge and mentorship we gained helped us further develop our 3D models and transform the cultural heritage of Troy into an engaging digital learning experience.
