Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we conclude an incredible year at The City Kindergarten, we are thrilled to celebrate the progress and growth of our young learners. This year has been a testament to the success of our comprehensive approach, guided by the KSPK curriculum areas: Communication, Science and Technology, Physical Development, Spirituality, Humanities, and Personal Competencies.
Our children have embraced each area with enthusiasm and curiosity. They’ve sharpened their communication skills through engaging storytelling and phonics sessions, explored the wonders of science and technology with hands-on experiments, and developed resilience and teamwork through physical activities. Through cultural celebrations and thematic projects, they’ve deepened their understanding of the world around them, fostering a sense of compassion and global awareness.
We’ve seen remarkable strides in their personal competencies—confidence, problem-solving, and creativity have flourished as they tackled challenges, shared ideas, and expressed themselves in unique ways. These milestones are a reflection of the strong partnership between our educators and parents, ensuring every child’s holistic development.
As we look ahead to a new year filled with more opportunities and achievements, we thank you for your unwavering support and commitment. Together, we are shaping a bright and promising future for every child.

Building Bridges with Words: Developing Communication Skills for a Multilingual World
At The City Kindergarten, we prioritize communication skills as a cornerstone of our curriculum, with a strong emphasis on English proficiency. Through immersive storytelling sessions, phonics activities, and conversational practice, our children build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Weekly "Show and Tell" sessions and collaborative group discussions further nurture their ability to articulate thoughts effectively.
We also value the richness of our multicultural community and ensure equal focus on Bahasa Melayu (BM), Mandarin, and Tamil. Children learn BM through engaging songs, rhymes, and storytelling that deepen their connection to the national language. Mandarin is integrated with fun vocabulary games and cultural lessons, while Tamil sessions focus on introducing simple words and phrases to promote familiarity and appreciation.
By fostering multilingual communication skills, we empower our children to express themselves confidently while embracing the diversity of Malaysia’s linguistic heritage.

On learning
Curiosity in Action: Hands-On Learning and Balanced Digital Exploration
At The City Kindergarten, we bring learning to life through science, technology, and math activities that encourage exploration and critical thinking. Children delight in simple, hands-on experiments like mixing primary colours, observing the growth of plants, and discovering the push-and-pull effects of magnets. Math is made engaging through counting games, pattern activities, and using real-world objects like blocks and beads to understand basic concepts like addition and subtraction.
Our multimedia program introduces children to digital resources in a balanced and age-appropriate way. Through interactive educational videos, animated stories, and child-friendly learning apps, we ensure children have exposure to technology without over-reliance. These resources are seamlessly blended with traditional learning to enhance understanding while promoting a healthy relationship with technology.
This approach helps our children develop curiosity, practical problem-solving skills, and a solid foundation in critical concepts, preparing them for the challenges of the future.
Field Trips
Field trips make kindergarten experiences unforgettable. The bus ride with friends and exploring the surroundings with teachers feels like an adventure. At Wetland Studio, children marveled at models of extinct species, wild animals, underwater creatures, and birds. An engaging activity highlighted the importance of keeping the environment clean. Afterwards, they enjoyed lunch together, returning home physically tired but mentally enriched. The trip beautifully blended education with fun, creating lasting memories.
Building Strength and Confidence: Physical Development Through Taekwondo and Sports Day
At The City Kindergarten, we believe in fostering physical development alongside cognitive growth. Our weekly free taekwondo classes provide children with the opportunity to build strength, discipline, and coordination in a fun, supportive environment. Taekwondo not only enhances their physical skills but also promotes self-confidence, focus, and respect for others.
One of the highlights of our year was our Sports Day, a celebration of teamwork, determination, and fun. The event saw an amazing turnout, with children eagerly participating in a range of activities, from running races to relay games, and even a fun obstacle course. Parents and teachers cheered on the children as they showcased their skills, agility, and sportsmanship.
The day was filled with joy, laughter, and excitement, awith each child proudly displaying their effort and achievements. It was a wonderful opportunity for children to demonstrate their physical growth while enjoying the sense of community and camaraderie. The event was not only well-attended but also thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, creating lasting memories and reinforcing the importance of physical activity in early childhood development.
Nurturing the Spirit: Embracing Values and Spiritual Growth
At The City Kindergarten, we believe in the importance of spiritual development as part of a child's holistic growth. Our Agama program fosters an understanding of spiritual values, respect for diversity, and the cultivation of good character. Through age-appropriate lessons, stories, and activities, children are introduced to fundamental values such as kindness, honesty, respect, and compassion.
We integrate these values into daily routines, encouraging children to practice positive behaviors like sharing, helping others, and showing gratitude. By creating a nurturing environment where spiritual teachings are lived out through actions, we help our children develop a strong moral compass that guides them in their interactions with others.
Through these efforts, we aim to instill a sense of peace, empathy, and social responsibility in every child, preparing them to grow not just academically, but as thoughtful, caring individuals.
Building Bonds Through Celebrations
Mother’s Day: A Celebration of Love and Laughter
We honored mothers with a heartfelt workshop that encouraged self-care and creativity. Mothers and children worked as a team, engaging in fun activities and games that strengthened their bond. The day ended with a collaborative craft session, leaving smiles and cherished memories for all.
Teacher’s Day:
A Tribute to Our Guiding Stars
Our teachers are the backbone of our success. On Teacher’s Day, we celebrated their dedication with a special assembly featuring performances by the children. Parents joined in to express their gratitude through handmade cards and heartfelt messages. The day concluded with a luncheon, offering teachers a moment to relax and bask in appreciation.
Father’s Day: Strengthening Bonds Through Action
Father’s Day at Tadika Twinkle Star was a day of learning, laughter, and teamwork. Fathers teamed up with their children to create STEAM projects, blending creativity with critical thinking. The excitement continued with a high-energy taekwondo session and culminated in a spirited badminton match that showcased camaraderie and fun.
Merdeka Day: Celebrating Unity in Diversity
Merdeka Day was a vibrant affair, with children dressed in colorful traditional outfits, proudly reflecting Malaysia’s rich cultural tapestry. A lively parade brought everyone together, followed by a quiz that tested and celebrated the children’s knowledge about Malaysia. The event was a true testament to the spirit of unity.
Hari Raya: Sharing the Joy of Tradition
We celebrated Hari Raya by embracing the spirit of giving and togetherness. Parents volunteered to prepare traditional porridge, which was distributed to neighbors and community members. This act of kindness strengthened bonds and showcased the value of sharing during festive occasions.
Deepavali: Illuminating Hearts and Minds
For Deepavali, volunteer parents prepared traditional snacks, sharing the essence of this beautiful festival with the children. Stories of light and hope were told, and the joyous celebration concluded with everyone enjoying the delicious treats, fostering unity and understanding.
Through these celebrations, we at The City Kindergarten continue to nurture a sense of community, bringing people together and creating lasting memories that transcend cultural and national boundaries.
