The Circle G at Gore Farms is a rustic and charming barn event venue located in Tabor City, North Carolina. In 1923, William Gaston Gore decided to build a barn on his property using only rough lumber, a hand saw, and a plumb bob. Despite the lack of modern tools, he managed to construct a sturdy structure that would serve his family for generations to come.
Over the years, the barn became a central part of life on the Gore family farm. William Gaston passed the farm and the barn down to his son, William Henry, who in turn passed it down to his son, William Russell. The tradition continued with William Jon and William Hunter, who both took great care to maintain the barn and keep it in good condition.
In 2021, the barn underwent renovations to its exterior, which helped to preserve its rustic charm while also ensuring its longevity. The Gore family was determined to keep the original character of the barn intact, but they also wanted to make it more functional for modern needs.
The following year, in 2022, the interior of the barn's upstairs loft was renovated with a Clemson Tigers theme. The family had always been passionate about the football team, and they wanted to pay homage to their favorite team in a unique and meaningful way.
Finally, in 2023, The Circle G at Gore Farms event venue was established. The barn had always been a gathering place for the Gore family, and now it would be a gathering place for the community as well. The Circle G would be available for weddings, parties, and other special events, and it would be a testament to the Gore family's dedication to their land and their heritage.
