THE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD

Website of the eTwinning Project

About the Project:

Reading books is incredibly important for the children. It expands their vocabulary and helps build independence and self-confidence. As a child reads, they can begin to imagine where the characters are. They might even create their own little world, as well. Reading enhances their imagination by forcing them to picture what the character actually looks like and who they are. reading helps improve their vocabulary, communication, and grammar skills.

So taking these issues into consideration we`ve created our project “ The Champion of the World”. The students read the book “ The champion of the World” by Roald Dahl during the summer holidays and from September they watched the film , discussed the story, drew the pictures and dramatized a part of the book. We had online events related to the book. Also the students created a blog of the project and discussed all issues there.

We are the teachers from 21 countries were involved in the project to collaborate, cooperate and communicate creating resources , presentations in different web 2.0 tools leading our students and teams .
