One day when entering the chamber, Slytherin felt dizzy looking into the eyes of the Basilisk. As he looked deeper, he saw a vision and started to hear a faint voice speak:
"Years from now, when you have passed, your work will be undone. A Gryffindor student will find your chamber and destroy the work you and your descendants have done. He will kill the Basilisk you have come to love. You will fail Slytherin. This boy will be the undoing of you and others like you"
Slytherin could not believe that someone, let alone a Gryffindor student, would be his undoing. He vowed more than ever to make sure the chamber stayed a secret from anyone who he could not trust. He started to feed his Basilisk with more hate, assuring that it was as giant as it could ever be.
After dealing with Voldermort, an evil wizard that had killed his parents, Harry Potter was now having to deal with a mythical place no one had ever actually seen.
Harry Potter was still new to the land of magic, but he knew everyone was in danger with Voldermort threatening to come back. He grew confused at the idea of something going around the school, paralyzing students, ghosts and animals. But he was determined to get to the bottom of it.
It was then when he found it. The Chamber of Secrets. And just how the prophecy had stated, he killed the Basilisk. Harry didn't know it but this had set of a chain of events that will bring the descent of Slytherin back into the world. Even more so, he didn't know that he was destined for success.
