Parent-Child Playgroups
For toddlers and preschoolers ages 15 months - 3 years
For toddlers and preschoolers ages 15 months - 3 years
The Parent-Child Playgroups are designed for parents or caregivers to connect and develop skills with their young children (ages 15 months - 3 years) through play. The Playgroups meet weekly OUTSIDE in the Cambridge Common in Harvard Square and are facilitated by veteran early childhood educator and founder of The Cambridge Children's Circle, Vanessa Cid.
The toddler/preschooler stage is a critical time for children to enter into the world of other children. CCC's Playgroups foster a gentle and relaxed environment in which children will learn about themselves and their relationship to others.
Vanessa engages children through circle time songs, stories, and movement activities, as well as free play and exploration with open-ended materials. All activities are intentionally offered to support each child’s cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional growth.
