Hank Voight was elected as the Los Angeles County Sheriff on August 8, 2024. Sheriff Voight commands one of the largest Department in the State of California. Over the last couple years Sheriff Hank completed has achieved many accolades within the last 4 years of service which can be found below.
Deputy Director Federal Bureau of Investigations (02), Assistant Chief of the LAPD (02), Chief of the US Border Patrol (01), Assistant Director of the Drug Enforcement Administration (03), The First Director & Colonel of the Department of Public Safety (01), & Finally Assistant Director of the Department of Homeland Security.
Over his time Sheriff Voight has also been a big part of the growing community of California by serving on the Management Board being an example to the community and its Civilians. Growing up in Los Angeles, Sheriff Voight's neighborhood was patrolled by many police departments including the Sheriff's Department. He saw examples of both good and bad policing, which pushed him to become apart of the Force and shape the department to what it has become today.
