Some helpful resources to enable you to implement a Blended & Personalized Learning Environment in your "brick or click" classroom.
The use of Exit Tickets on an ongoing basis will allow the teacher to assess students knowledge quickly and efficiently. This data can easily inform the teacher's instruction for the follow up lessons. No need to wait for the test to see what students have learned! This will further enable the teacher to set up the station rotation model for the following lesson. Students that understood the content from the previous lesson can begin with the independent work while students that did not quite understand the lesson will begin the rotation model at the Teacher's Center where materials will be reviewed and retaught in a different manner if necessary.
Help students understand the best ways that they can learn. It is important for students to understand the way that they learn best so that they can take charge of their learning path. This autonomy will improve student motivation while promoting responsibility and guiding students to become life-long learners.
Spark student inquiry and promote engagement by using the new and improved KWL chart to facilitate HOTS (higher order thinking skills) in your classroom . Use the chart throughout the unit of study to promote reflection, analysis, research, and ongoing inquiry and learning. See a sample of how this chart was used in a PADLET for a Chumash Class on Sefer Shemot.
Use this GOOGLE FORM for Reading & Reflection to collect student data, an essential component of the BPL model. Data is used to inform instruction and to encourage meaningful conversation and reflection with all relevant stakeholders: administrators, parents, and even students!
