SoulBot Saturday Design Squad REGISTRATION FOR SPRING BREAK 2024 is OPEN. This is a S.T.E.A.M. based activity for ages 7-18. This session we are three classes on:


SSDS is offered based on demand and scheduling and are priced fairly.  The curriculum is designed to augment your childs classwork and expand their imagination - STEAM can and should be fun! Classes are held at the Unity Hall in West Baltimore and will be on TUESDAY, MARCH 26th. Coding workshops utilize platforms that foster typing skills, teaches coding logic, problem solving and give participants quick feedback that builds confidence and skills. Robotics is centered around building teamwork and foundational skills with tools to emulate the day to day work of an engineer.  The Rocket launch workshop info is detailed below.  The Artificial Intelligence workshop is a one day workshop that gives students a chance to test out various AI platforms and teaches students how to ethically utilize these platforms for studying, research and creativity.   Classes are led by BRP Founder Jason Harris, an Information Technology veteran with over 20 years of experience in tech and community work. Artificial Intelligence for Teens (Ages 14-18)- $25!!!! 


FAMILY DISCOUNTS - $40 for two children, $50 for three children.

Registration pays for workshops, equipment, curriculum materials and snacks and covid-19 materials (extra masks, digital infrared thermometer), instructor and assistant compensation.  


Coding and AI classes require a laptop or tablet with keyboard.  There will be a couple available for families who don't have a laptop to send with student. 


Class size is limited to 20 for each session (Robotics, AI)



Rocket Launch ParTY


The BlkRobot Project Rocket Launch Party is a three day STEM workshop that features a curriculum that teaches students about space travel, introduces children to men and women of color who are involved in space technology and travel, and gives students a chance to assemble and launch a model rocket. This annual event was first held in Baltimore, Maryland in November 2020 and will be held again in 2021 at Booker T Washington Middle School in Baltimore and the Senegalese American Bilingual School in Dakar, Senegal. The Senegalese arm of the project will involve students assembling a satellite for a low orbit launch in the spring of 2023.
