The BigOne: Disaster Preparedness Simulation Game (“the Game”) is a student-developed
capstone project created for educational and research purposes under Lyceum of the
Philippines University – Cavite. This Privacy Policy explains how the Game handles data,
what information is collected, and how user privacy is protected.
The Game is designed primarily as an offline, local-device-only simulation. It does not
require internet access and does not transmit any personal information to external servers.
Information We Do NOT Collect
The Game does NOT collect, store, or share any of the following:
● Personal information (name, age, ID number, address, contact, etc.)
● Sensitive personal information (health, biometrics, etc.)
● Login credentials
● GPS or location data
● Contacts or phonebook
● Photos, videos, or camera access
● Microphone or audio recordings
● Online identifiers or cookies
Your identity remains completely anonymous while using the app.
Information the Game MAY Collect Locally
The Game may store non-personal, gameplay-only data directly on the user’s device:
● Star ratings / achievements
● Level completion status
● In-game settings (volume, sensitivity)
● Time records for Arcade Mode
● Collected in-game items
These data are stored locally on your device only and are not uploaded, transmitted, or
shared.
The Game does not connect to any cloud service or external database.
How We Use Gameplay Data
Any locally stored data may be used only for:
● Displaying achievements
● Tracking player progress
● Recording time-based results in Arcade Mode
● Improving game performance during updates
No third parties have access to these data.
No Internet, No Online Services
The BigOne is designed as an offline app.
It features:
● No online multiplayer
● No online leaderboard
● No cloud storage
● No data transmission
Future researchers may add online features, but this current version does not include them.
Data Security
Because all data remain on the user’s device, the Game does not store information on
external servers. Users may clear data anytime by:
● Uninstalling the Game
● Clearing app storage through device settings
This permanently removes all local data.
Third-Party Sharing
The Game does NOT share any personal or gameplay data with:
● Advertisers
● Analytics services
● Third-party companies
● Government agencies
● Any external organization
There are zero third-party integrations.
Children's Privacy
The Game may be played by minors as part of school disaster awareness activities.
No identifiable data is collected, making the app safe for all ages.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if:
● Future researchers add online or CMS features
● New gameplay systems require minor revisions
● Game mechanics expand beyond local storage
Any significant change will be reflected in the updated posted document.
