Catalyst pearl amalgams, or commonly also referred to as Pearl amalgams are an enemy added by Liminus

Pearl amalgams are masses of catalyst nodes and catalyst pearls with procedurally animated legs. due to their unique leg system they can walk up walls and on ceilings, which on the planet of Liminus ; gives them a very strong advantage against players.

their spawn rates are linked to the rain and on the rain ending the spawning system for amalgams will be given 3-5 "spawn tickets" ; this does not effect the lesser catalyst pearl amalgam's overworld spawn rate however.

Lesser Catalyst Pearl Amalgam

80 max health, only uses standard homing bolts

will very rarely spawn in the overworld. with a 0.00005% chance per tick for the overworld spawning system to be given a spawn ticket

100 max health, only uses standard homing bolts

Greater Catalyst Pearl Amalgam

256 max health,

Greater pearl amalgams also come in 3 types.

Healer, will heal nearby amalgams and uses mini-bolts in combat

Arbalest, explosive bolts.

Hunter, standard homing bolts.

False prophet

1024 max health, switches between suppressor bolts, fire bolts, and standard homing bolts.

Largest catalyst pearl amalgam type.

Primary weakness

Catalyst pearl amalgams will take a base 2x damage from pickaxes, and an extra 0.5x per efficency level on the pickaxe.

when damaged by a pickaxe, catalyst pearl amalgams will drop opalium and exotic crystal, the amount is based on the damage dealt and can be increased by the pickaxe being enchanted with fortune.

critical hits from a pickaxe will deal 1.5x more damage.

A pearl amalgam being hit for the first time will take an extra 1.5x damage if the hit was from a pickaxe.
