At The Azle Academy, our journey began with a shared passion for education and a vision to enrich our community. As an Azle ISD educator, Breanna Reed, recognized a growing need for a space where students could explore their musical talents and engage in enriching activities. Conversations with her students revealed a common desire: they wished for a dedicated place to take music lessons and explore their musical talents and also participate in exciting enrichment programs on a weekly basis as well as all throughout the year.
Driven by this feedback, Breanna and her husband, Jon Reed, set out to create an academy that not only focuses on high-quality music education but also embraces the arts, STEM, tutoring, test preparation, and so much more. Their mission is to provide a nurturing environment where students can thrive, discover their passions, and cultivate their creativity. Jon and Breanna believe in the transformative power of education, and they strive to offer a supportive community where every student can explore their unique interests and talents.
A significant motivation for bringing The Azle Academy to the community is the owner’s son, Gatlin Reed, an avid drummer whose enthusiasm for music sparked their commitment to this vision. Additionally, Jon Reed, also known to many Azle ISD students as "Firefighter Jon," is a retired Azle Firefighter who served the community for over 22 years before transitioning to a role at Lockheed Martin. Jon's dedication to service inspires the Reeds to give back to the community they cherish. Having lived in Azle for over 20 years, The Reeds are deeply rooted in this vibrant community.
The owner herself has been recognized as Azle Independent School District's Teacher of the Year and was awarded Region 11 Teacher of the Year for Building Culture and Community Beyond the Classroom. With over 15 years of experience in education, including 8 years with Azle ISD, she is one of the founding teachers and curriculum writers for the Azle ISD Gifted and Talented Program. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M and has been invited to pursue her Doctorate in the same field.
Whether it’s through mastering an instrument, delving into STEM projects, or enhancing academic skills, our dedicated instructors are committed to inspiring and guiding students every step of the way. At The Azle Academy, we are proud to be a place where students can learn, grow, and express themselves—making music and memories that will last a lifetime.
