The Community Engagement, Operations & Event Management Internship provides college students with experiential learning through the planning, coordination, execution, and post-event evaluation of a large-scale community event serving approximately 850 attendees.
Students will participate in the logistical and administrative functions required to produce a public arts and community event featuring:
musical performances
Live painting artists
Small Business Consultations
Live podcast recordings
Free Health Screen activities
Fire safety management coordination
Fundraising Sponsorship activations
Event marketing
Volunteer coordination
Public safety planning
Government permitting
This internship is designed to complement classroom learning by providing practical experience in nonprofit management, event operations, project coordination, marketing, communications, leadership, and community engagement.
The internship is intended to bridge academic theory with professional practice by allowing students to apply classroom concepts to real-world nonprofit event management.
