I just finished reading both "Thanks for being my DAD" and "Weeding out the RiffRaff" in pursuit of my spiritual journey. I must say your ability to create such amazing storytelling is inspiring. As I began to read, I felt compelled to continue reading to the next chapter and the next chapter. Reading about your life's journey was really eye opening. As I continued to read, I began to pick out some similarities of things that were similar to my life. The saying, "you don't know what someone has been through just by looking at them" popped into my mind. Ms. Green, you are truly an inspirational, determined, unwavering, and intelligent black woman. You have been through so much in your life and still continue to be a positive light in the lives of others around you, including mine. I have learned so much reading your books. I am so glad to have met you. A really great quote I liked is: " You have a relationship with God so you can get it right." As someone who is currently still figuring out her spiritual journey now, I can attest to this quote. Thanks for sharing.

I love how candid and detailed the author shared her narrative. This book could assist women to heal their abuse as well as seek faith to obtain happiness and self-forgiveness.

From the moment I picked up this book and began to read it, I could not put it down, until the end. In my line of work, I have experienced both Men and Woman who have had trials and tribulations, which lead them to explore negative destructive activity, which have lead them, to make some very bad choices; which they had to face the consequences for. However, not everyone can excel from their hard life and become an awesome, thoughtful, caring, given, self-sufficient and educated person, as Leslie Green, it is difficult. Leslie, is trying to share her arduous life experiences, with the world. Everyone who reads this book, will be uplifted and feel invincible. Thank you Leslie, you are an awesome extraordinary and phenomenal Woman, I will encourage others to read your journey.
