Wie ben ik & wat maak ik?

Roel Keppel, Kampen, Nederland, 1962. De belangrijkste inspiratie voor mijn creatieve werk vind ik in de kunststromingen De Stijl, Popart, Cobra en het Surrealisme. Ook in de muziek van Kraftwerk, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Ryuichi Sakamato, Thomas Dolby en Downhere. En ook in sciencefiction, steampunk, cyberpunk en in de Bijbel.

De materialen die ik graag gebruik zijn acrylverf, canvas, papier, hout, potlood, tekenpen, stift en smartphone en tientallen apps. Thema's in mijn werk zijn: elektronica, technologie & samenleving, portretten, Christelijk geloof en vrij werk. Elk thema heeft zijn eigen pagina op deze site.

Mijn werk is beschikbaar voor expositie. Ik werk incidenteel in opdracht binnen bovenstaande thema's.

Who am I & what's my artwork?

Roel Keppel, Kampen, Netherlands, 1962. The main inspiration for my creative work is in the art movements of De Stijl, Popart, Cobra and Surrealism. Also in the music of Kraftwerk, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Ryuichi Sakamato, Thomas Dolby and Downhere. And also in science fiction, steampunk, cyberpunk and in the Bible.

The materials I like to use are acrylic paint, canvas, paper, wood, pencil, drawing pen, marker and smartphone and dozens of apps. Themes in my work are: electronics, technology & society, portraits, Christian faith and free work. Each theme has its own page on this site.

My work is available for exhibition. I work incidentically on assignment within the above themes.
