Clair Armin was a life science instructor at Reedley College from 1956-1978 until he retired. He died November 30, 1980. His teaching career included eight years as a biology instructor at Amarillo College in Texas before coming to Reedley. Prior to World War II, where he served for four and a half years, he taught eighth grade in an elementary school near Bakersfield. Clair’s undergraduate years were at Long Beach City College and U.C. Berkeley. He received his teaching credential at San Jose State. He earned two masters degrees from USC--an M.S. in biology and an M.A. in education. He earned his Ph.D. at Boulder, Colorado. Clair’s main interests included reading, jazz piano, barbershop quartet music, and going to film lectures.
