"Born in the spiritual heart of Prayagraj, Anand Prakash’s practice is rooted in 'Samkhya Philosophy'—the dualism of Purusha (Consciousness) and Prakriti (Matter). His journey began in a middle-class struggle, where childhood displacements between schools became his first experiments with unfamiliar environments. This early sense of 'searching' led him to the Banyan trees of Allahabad, where he saw the faces of generations etched in the textures of the bark. His work is a tribute to his late father, who witnessed Anand's rise from a confused youth to a recipient of the 52nd National Academy Award. Today, his abstract textures are a dialogue between his academic training (BFA, MFA) and the silent stories of the earth."
