The ABC Insights Journal is an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly publication inaugurated on June 30, 2025. The journal is dedicated to advancing methodological and theoretical innovation at the intersection of three foundational disciplines: Statistics, Econometrics, and Philosophy.
Our distinctive tripartite structure—Statistics Across Domains, Econometrics Across Domains, and Philosophy Across Domains—reflects our commitment to intellectual integration rather than disciplinary fragmentation. We publish original research, methodological papers, critical reviews, and interdisciplinary syntheses that transcend conventional field boundaries.
To foster methodological pluralism in quantitative research, encouraging the application of statistical and econometric methods to diverse empirical contexts without restriction to traditional disciplinary silos.
To reinvigorate the philosophy of quantitative methods, promoting critical epistemological, ontological, and ethical reflection on the foundations and implications of statistical and econometric practice.
To cultivate transdisciplinary dialogue, creating a rigorous forum where data-driven analysis and conceptual inquiry mutually inform one another.
Statistics Across Domains
Development and application of statistical methods across the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and professional fields (medicine, engineering, environmental science, etc.)
Econometrics Across Domains
Causal inference, structural modeling, and policy evaluation in economics and beyond (political science, sociology, education, public health, climate policy, etc.)
Philosophy Across Domains
Epistemology, philosophy of science, ethics, and metaphysics as applied to quantitative methodology and its applications.
While submissions may address any single section, the journal actively solicits and prioritizes work that bridges our three pillars:
Philosophical statistics: Epistemological and ethical interrogation of statistical inference, algorithmic decision-making, and data visualization
Critical econometrics: Reflexive analysis of causal identification, model assumptions, and the socio-political embeddedness of economic measurement
Empirically-informed philosophy: Philosophical argumentation grounded in or responsive to quantitative findings.
We particularly welcome contributions that:
Apply quantitative methods to understudied contexts, particularly in the Global South
Propose novel methodological syntheses
Examine the historical and sociological dimensions of quantitative reasoning
Address the responsible conduct of data science and artificial intelligence
The ABC Insights Journal operates a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts are evaluated on:
Methodological soundness: Appropriateness and correct application of techniques
Theoretical significance: Contribution to disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge
Clarity of exposition: Accessibility to readers across the three target disciplines
Reflexive depth: Awareness of limitations, assumptions, and broader implications
