Design & Development, Drug Delivery, Dental Materials Laboratory (4D LAB)

About

"Our long-term goal is to develop personalized scaffold and living tissues for regenerative medicine, and disease modelling"

At the 4D lab, we embrace multidisciplinarity and incorporate innovative technologies for the engineering of functional human tissues and organs-including bone, dental pulp, periodontium, heart- by integrated use of stem cells, biomaterials scaffold, and growth factors. Our lab uses technologies like 3D & 4D Bioprinting, as well as electrospinning, to fabricate personalized scaffolds and tissue for transplantation, with the long-term goal of translating our biomaterials and tissue into clinical use. The clinical development in my lab begins with scaffold design and continues with in vitro, and in vivo testing to evaluate the efficacy of developed biomaterials and tissue for regenerative and transplantation strategies.

Our lab also focuses on drug delivery via micro/nanofibrous scaffolds, nanoparticle in dental and medical applications to eliminate infection and support tissue regeneration.
