December 19, 1944, Tec5 Raymond A Heitmann, Union, MO, was killed in the Malmedy Massacre in Belgium. He is buried in the Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Liege, Belgium. He is memorialized at the Malmedy Memorial in Malmedy.
