This is a telecollaborative project for an international group of German and Israeli students
Task 1
German grade 7 | Israeli grade 6
Student Instructions
In this task we are going to exchange/compare the Israeli and the German way of living.
Discover Padlet. Try out different functions of the website.
Write a paragraph describing the speciality of your family members and household and upload it on Padlet. For example: Write about a pet, your siblings, and/or your favourite tradition.
Upload one or more pictures. For example: your house, apartment, family, pet, friends, ...
Write a comment on your friends abroad´s answers. The comment's lenght should be at least one full sentence.
If anything is unclear ask your teacher.
Teacher Instructions
Make yourself familiar with Padlet and its functions.
Upload a Padlet link and post an instruction comment, as well as an example comment inside the Padlet in addition to the explanation in class.
Create a google account with every student.
Send the students the link for your Padlet and explain the main functions (especially creating a post, to be able to comment on the other posts and how to add pictures)
Demonstrate the students your example paragraph.
Divide the class into groups towards the assignment (2 Israeli students and 2 German students in each group)
The assignment will be given to the students in English class in Germany/Israel.
The students can do the assignment (individually writing a paragraph) during class.
You should work alongside the teacher abroad.
Explain the instructions to the students and answer any questions they might have.
Evaluation
Is the grammar in the paragraph correct.
Does the content of the paragraph fit the task.
Is the comment related to the paragraph (Whole sentences?).

Task 2
German grade 11 | Israeli grade 12
Student Instructions
In this task we are going to share stories about vacations we experienced through an episode of a podcast.
Discover Anchor. Try out different functions of the website.
Note down what you want to talk about in your notebook. Only use bullett points.
Record a podcast episode on Anchor about two family vacations you went on. Speak as freely as you can. You may consult with your notes.
Add a melody to the opening (intro) and a second one to the end as well (outro). Your recording should last roughly about 2.5 minutes including the melodies/intros/outros.
Choose an interesting headline for your podcast episode.
If anything is unclear ask your teacher.
Teacher Instructions
Make yourself familiar with Anchor and its functions.
Record a podcast episode as an example (to show to the students) and add melodies.
Open up an account on Anchor with every student.
Explain the main functions of Anchor to your students (especially recording a podcast and adding melodies).
Show the students your example podcast episode.
The assignment will be given to the students in English class in Germany/Israel. However, they should record the podcast episode at home.
Give the instructions orally and additionally on a sheet of paper.
You should work alongside the teacher abroad.
Talk with the students about the instructions and any questions they might have.
When the students are finished:
Listen to a few of the podcasts with your students. Yours and the ones from the class abroad.
Talk with the students about analysing the differences and comparing the podcast episodes.
Evaluation
Are the grammar and the words used in the podcast episode apporiate for the higher language level.
Is the content of the podcast episode fitting for the task.
Are the melodies added.
Did the student participate orally in class when discussing the other podcast episodes.
