Knob Creek is an American brand of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey produced by Beam Suntory. It is one of the four Jim Beam small batch bourbon brands targeted for the high-end liquor market.

The Old Fitzgerald line is well-known for its distilling pedigree, as the brand was first registered in 1884 and was eventually sold to "Pappy" Van Winkle during Prohibition.

Lot No. 40, crafted at Hiram Walker Distillery, is one of the best. It’s made from a mash bill of 100 percent rye that is distilled in copper pot stills. There’s a nice balance of sweetness and spice on the palate, with a buttery mouthfeel and some notes of fruit and vanilla.

Rye typically matures much faster than corn- or barley-based whiskies. Nevertheless, the folks at Lock Stock & Barrel have found magic in their process, utilizing a mashbill of 100% rye. The brand’s top-shelf 21 Year was double distilled in copper pot stills before being aged for over two decades in new charred American oak barrels. Bottled at 111 proof, this whisky has a definite heat undergirding notes of cinnamon, caramel, cocoa, anise, and treacle, giving way to a long finish of leather, oak, and spice.

Lot no 40 Dark Oak is an American whisky made entirely from rye. It’s undergone a twofold aging process: first in mildly-charred new American oak barrels, and then in heavily charred ones. Initially limited to British Columbia and Ontario, this release has since found its way across the Atlantic.

The brothers Isaac Wolfe and Bernhard Bernheim started their liquor sales firm in Paducah, Kentucky in 1872. They later established the historic Bernheim Distillery in Louisville. In 1879, the Bernheim Brothers created the I.W. Harper brand. The brothers’ whiskey went on to win Gold Medals at the New Orleans Exhibition in 1885 and the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893. I.W. Harper Gold Medal 86 Proof is a vintage premium bourbon, produced in the 1970s and exported for the Japanese market. The bottle comes with its original box, which has seen some wear and tear since this bottle came out half a century ago.
Blanton's is a highly awarded brand of whiskey produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. It was launched in 1984 by master distiller Elmer T. Lee as the first modern single-barrel Bourbon.
Blanton's signature style is rounded with cooked fruit, caramel, toffee, and spice, varying subtly across the expressions. The bottles have eight distinct stopper designs featuring a horse and jockey in poses depicting stages of a horse race from the starting gate to the victorious finish.
This bourbon scored three points higher than Pappy Van Winkle's 23YO Bourbon at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2012. The nose of apple and cinnamon, with hints of vanilla and caramel. The initial flavor profile is sweet, with notes of peaches, pears and dried apricots. Flavors fade to a touch of cinnamon and baking spices and finish with notes of maple syrup and molasses.
This legendary 23 year old straight Kentucky Bourbon whiskey was selected from Pappy Van Winkle's private stock and bottled at 95.6 proof (47.8% ABV) for their Family Reserve series.
Filled from charred American oak barrels, this limited release Bourbon was bottled as bottle number C11284 and comes supplied with a fine black velvet bag. We believe this 'C' series was bottled in 2008.
Released in very small batches annually, with demand far outweighing the supply, this Pappy 23 year old really is seen as the pièce de résistance in the Bourbon world. It is described as having a long lasting oaky finish whilst being mellow, sweet and easy drinking - the brand themselves recommend you drink it neat!
It hasn't gone unnoticed with the critics either; winning the Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards in 2008 and picking up a rating of 95pts from the Whisky Advocate along the way.
There have been four generations of Van Winkle's working for the company since Julian Van Winkle III was joined by his son Preston in 2001. The Van Winkles decided to move all distilling to the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky in 2002 - previously it was produced in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
Wonderful patinated copper red in the bottle, similar to the color of a chunk of jewelry-grade Baltic Amber. The color of this whiskey tips you off that it is well aged. Nice edge line on the glass when you swirl it, a smooth layer of whiskey. On swirling, with some minor legs and scalloping of the swirl line.
Wonderfully heavy mouthfeel, it is a sweet fire at full strength.
However, the fact that you can drink it at that proof and actually like it speaks volumes as to how good it is. There is a definite sweetness to the corn with an intended rye sourness to it , kind of like the bitterness you get from an intense piece of high cocoa chocolate – and for me the same cascade of endorphins to the pleasure center of my brain.
Sweet for a second then the oak fruit and finally oaky dryness roll over the tongue with an intense but pleasant warming all the way down.A long presence and finish with a touch of astringency from the oak. The addition of some water (bottled or filtered, no chlorine!) knocks down the alcohol and opens up the bouquet nicely.

Old Carter Whiskey Co. is a small-batch Bourbon and Rye whiskey producer based in Louisville, Kentucky and producing a number of limited bottlings. The company was established by Napa Valley winery owners Mark and Sherri Carter (of Calistoga based Carter Cellars), sourcing Straight Rye, Bourbon and American Whiskey from around Kentucky.
A wheat bourbon with a full-bodied flavor and a balanced palette. Old Weller Antique is bottled at 107 proof, offering a complex taste and bold finish. It’s certainly a recognizable member of the Weller label, with its own unique characteristics to compliment the high proof.

This rare 15 year old Speyside single malt was laid to sleep at the Balvenie distillery on the 10th of March 1977 and bottled on the 8th of May 1994 for the Single Barrel series.
Drawn from single cask number 1851, this is hand bottled at 50.4% ABV and comes complete with its original tube.
An old release of Balvenie 10 year old Founder's Reserve whisky. This is presented in interestingly shaped bottle. We usually see this sort of bottle used for Cognacs, but this is a welcome change. We would estimate that this was bottled sometime in the 1990s.
The Senator has aged a minimum of 6 years. The Single Barrel Whiskies are non-chill filtered, and bottled at the exact proof they exit the barrel. Both whiskies were distilled and aged in the historic distillery currently known as MGP Indiana, formerly Seagram’s distillery. The distillery has been producing American Whiskey since 1853.
