The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic television series based on the comic book of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard, and developed for television by Frank Darabont. It premiered on the cable network AMC on October 31, 2010.[1] The series focuses on Rick Grimes, a sheriff's deputy who slips into a coma after being shot. He awakens to find himself in a dangerous new world that has been overrun by "walkers". He joins a group of survivors (including his wife and son) as they try to survive in a world among the undead.[2]

Hannah, a mother of two kids, awakens from a car crash to find her two children missing. She runs to her ex's house, and finds them there. Andrew, her ex, had previously shot and hid his walker wife, who comes back and almost kills the two kids before Hannah kills her. In a flashback, it is revealed that after going to his neighbor's house to scavenge supplies, Andrew was asked to shoot his living neighbor, Mike Palmer, who had been bitten. Mike also asked that he shoot his two children upstairs who have already turned, which he neglects to do. Later in a desperate attempt to flee with his family, Andrew tries to get the keys to Mike's truck, but is killed in the process by Mike's undead children he had failed to shoot. A helicopter hovering over the neighborhood announces to any survivors to make their way to the concession stand at the park, where they are evacuating refugees. Hannah and her children leave on foot in an attempt to get there, but Hannah is bitten along the way. After she is bitten, Hannah hands a pistol to her daughter and tells her and her brother to run to safety at the concession stand, and then she is devoured and torn in half by a horde of walkers. The last shot is of her waking up as a walker and then starting to pull herself along the ground.

Shot exclusively for the web and directed by Greg Nicotero, the webisodes follow Hannah, who you might remember as the half-torso zombie Rick stumbles upon early in Season 1 when he finds the bicycle, after leaving the hospital. Her story unfolds at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse as Hannah struggles to keep her family safe and reveals just how she became one of the series most iconic walker.

I wanted to approach the score with a similar template to the main series. We wanted it to feel like you were in the same world. Structurally it was a bit different. Because of the length of the episode, there might have been moments scored in the webisodes that might not have been scored in the main series. Sometimes choosing not to have score during certain moments can add to the immersive or realistic tone. But in a short amount of time, the score might need to drive a bit more to better serve the narrative.

Last week, we gave you official word from AMC that a new set of The Walking Dead webisodes would be released before the Season 4 premiere. Titled "The Oath," all three new webisodes are now available and we have them for you to watch:

In the three webisodes (7 to 10 minutes each), the lone survivors of a massive walker-attack, Paul (Wyatt Russell, Cowboys and Aliens) and Karina (Ashley Bell, The Last Exorcism), speed across the countryside, frantically searching for an aid-station, as one of them slowly bleeds out from a wound. Finally coming upon a hospital that has not been overrun, at first feels like a blessing, but could soon turn to misfortune, as a seemingly benevolent doctor (Ellen Greene, Little Shop of Horrors) may hide a darker agenda.

Greg Nicotero, who returns to executive producer and direct, promises this set of webisodes will be even more ambitious and gripping than the last, with production values and makeup that match the show. The cast includes Wyatt Russell (Coyboys & Aliens) as Paul, Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism) as Karina, and Ellen Greene (Little Shop of Horrors) as the mysterious doctor.

In the Season 1 webisodes, Hannah is seen with a handgun. I can't recognize it. As stated above, the shotgun used in Domistic Violence and Neighborly Advice is a Mossberg 500. In the Season 2 Webisodes, a version of the AK-47 appears in the background, and also another assault rifle. Does anyone know which guns these are? --Creed (talk) 11:18, 25 October 2012 (EDT)

The newest webisodes were created by Greg Nicotero, executive producer, director and special effects makeup designer on the hit show. "There's walkers, gore and new threats lurking around every turn -- all the elements that fans The Walking Dead will love!" Nicotero said.

Inside the house, which is revealed to belong to Andrew, Hannah is reunited with her children and reveals that her car crashed after she swerved to avoid "some people", who she now realizes were the undead. She asks where Andrew's current wife, Judy, is, but he avoids the question and offers to bandage the head wound she sustained in the crash.

Back in the present, Hannah laments the state of the world and tells Andrew she wishes she could go back to how things were before. In the dining room, Billy and Jamie are sitting at the kitchen table listening to a police siren in the distance and arguing about where Max is when the reanimated Judy stirs. Billy tries to scream, but Jamie covers his mouth and they hide under the kitchen table. As the undead Judy turns, the kids hide in the nearby kitchen pantry, but the walker notices and moves towards them, causing them to scream. Just when it seems like Judy will attack them, Hannah runs up with a fire axe in hand and hits Judy in the head with the weapon, putting her down for good.

For example im trying to add all the walking dead webisodes into their own listing in emby, i have created a folder titled The Walking Dead Webisodes, and inside that folder have all the webisode series joined together for each one respectively (ie all torn apart episodes joined into one total episode) leaving me with 8 total episodes. They have been named "The Walking Dead Webisodes - S01E01 - Torn Apart" etc for all 8 episodes (each episode has their own name) . But when i scan for new files nothing shows up not even a blank show tile with just the folder name. I know ill have to add all the metadata and images myself , which i already have but i just cant get it to populate inside emby server. I was half tempted to name the folder something else that i dont have and wont ever add (ie talking dead), and then customize the metadata and images myself and then lock it so nothing changes, though id rather just be able to get the custom series to popualte naturally, as in the series tile and then the episodes with their names.

Everytime i try it adds the first two episodes to season one of the walking dead, as there are only 6 episodes in that season, and it populates episodes 7 and 8 from my webisode folder and adds them to season one and completely leaves out eps 1-6. I know i can rename them as s00 and add them as specials in the walking dead but i would much prefer their own listing.

(based on the Image Comics series by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard) that there would be a series of webisodes (short, web-based episodes) leading up to the show's October 16 season premiere. Well, now we know more in the way of specifics.Directed by special effects guru Greg Nicotero, the six-part miniseries will begin on October 3, when all six episodes will be loaded onto The Walking Dead's AMC site at 2pm EST. The episodes will center around the events that led Bicycle Girl (the nearly-decomposed torso who lead character Rick Grimes killed as an act of mercy in the show's pilot) to where we meet her in the show. Bicycle Girl (whose name is Hannah in the webisodes) was one of the most popular zombies of the first season and her image was one of the most frequently-used in articles about the show. The day after the launch of the web series (October 4), a special, expanded Blu-Ray edition of the first season hits stores featuring commentary tracks, deleted scenes and more that were left off of the initial home video release. e24fc04721
