NPCs and Notes:

Session 00: The Mithrill and the Grey Wolf

• Floki ** - A dwarven merchant who travels with his companion, Hornbori. Floki and Hornbori were traveling east from Blue Mountains to deliver some of their merchandise to an unnamed location, then would be traveling north, past Bree.

• Hornbori ** - A dwarven merchant who travels with Floki, and is his guard. Hornbori and Floki were traveling east from Blue Mountains to deliver some of their merchandise to an unnamed location, then would be traveling north, past Bree.

• Jerick, son of Erûn - A man of Laketown, a Champion who served under Arinor, Son of Balis, when Arinor was a Captain. He rides a (yet unnamed) brown horse. He was last seen riding back to Laketown to tell his people of the things he and Arinor experienced.

• Barnabas Butterbur ** - Patron owner of the Prancing Pony.

  • Note: Not to be confused with Barliman Butterbur * who would appear in Lord of the Rings. Barnabas is a descendent of Barliman.

• Prancing Pony * - An inn/tavern located in Bree, owned by Barnabas Butterbur.

• Thorodir, son of Udalraph - A Ranger of the North, and one of the older brothers of Bergil. He is the one that Bergil has gotten along the best with. He was sent north to keep an eye on Carn Dûm, but the Ranger of the North known as Strider.

  • Note: I asked the player for a brother's name, as I needed one for an NPC interaction during Session 0, so this was created by the player who controls Bergil.

• Balis - the father of Arinor, who died when Smaug attacked Laketown. Arinor carries his father's blade that had somehow survived Smaug's flame that claimed his father's life.

• Udalraph - The father of Thorodir and Bergil.

  • Note: This is the name of Bergil's father, so this was created by the player who controls Bergil.

• Plotka - This is Dorim's trusty mule.

  • Note: This mule was a part of Dorim's character, and thus created by the player who controls Dorim.

• Gilestel - This is Arinor's steed. It is completely black, save for the white flecks on its face, that make it look like it reflects the stars.

• Greyfur - A large, massive wolf that lives in the Angle, encountered by Bergil.

• Brokepaw - A young, grey wolf that had a paw caught in a beartrap that was freed by Bergil.

Characters noted with a * after their name are characters created by J.R.R. Tolkien. Characters noted with two * after their name are characters created for the One Ring by Free League. Any other characters are created by me (or one of my players; if created by my player, I will note that in their description).
