The Founders

Joshua Workman

@j.workman_outdoors is one of our co-founders and directors. He wears many different hats. He's a husband, father, brother, angler and tournament director. Being able to establish balance in his life is one of Josh's most impressive strengths, and he demonstrates this on and off the water. Josh is an avid competitor, and has proven to be a threat on any body of water across the nation. He also founded the Tail of Two cities tournament series back in 2016, which has turned in to the sticks live series we have. When Josh isn't competing or directing, he enjoys sharing his love for the outdoors with wife and sons.

Jareth Kaup

Jareth Kaup, @beardedgloryoutdoors, is our last co-founder and director.

He is the newest of the group to kayak fishing. In just 3 years of competing and fishing in a kayak he has come a long way.

Jareth has also taken to photography on the water. If you are lucky enough to hook in to one with him around you can expect a few nice photos for you.

Marty Hughes

Marty Hughes is another co-founder and director for the sticks. He is one of the most respected anglers you will ever meet and is considered "the godfather" of kayak fishing in Nebraska.

@kyakjak started kayakapalooza 9 years ago. And hasn't slowed down since. Creating many events that we all still fish today, including a youth series to get kids on the water. He also donates a lot of time to Heroes on the water.

Marty is not only a fantastic angler, but he is also one of the finest human beings out there. He goes above and beyond as the Principal at Auburn Public Schools. He rarely ever misses a school event to show support, which sometimes forces him to drive all night and sleep in the back of his truck to fish an event.

It is that drive and consideration for others that makes us very thankful to have Marty on board to help us bring a great club to Nebraska anglers.
