Can’t make it to our Georgetown lab? No problem. The Solder Surgeon offers a professional, secure mail-in service for customers across Canada. Whether you have a liquid-damaged MacBook, a "No Power" PS5, or an NLA appliance board, we make it easy to get the expert repair you need.
Step 1: The Virtual Consult Fill out our [Mail-In Request Form] or send us an email with clear photos of the device and a description of the symptoms. We will provide an initial estimate and let you know if the device is a good candidate for surgery.
Step 2: Pack & Ship Once approved, safely package your device (we recommend double-boxing and plenty of bubble wrap) and ship it to our secure facility. We recommend using a carrier with tracking and insurance.
Step 3: Diagnostics & Surgery Once your device arrives, it goes straight to the bench. We perform a full diagnostic and confirm the final repair cost. No work is performed until you approve the quote.
Step 4: Testing & Return After the surgery is complete, we stress-test the device to ensure it’s 100% stable. We then package it back up and ship it back to you with a tracking number.
The Specialist Advantage: Many local shops don't have the equipment for BGA reballing or trace repair. Ship it to someone who does.
Transparent Pricing: No hidden fees. You approve every cost before we pick up the iron.
Rapid Turnaround: Most mail-in repairs are completed and shipped back within 3-5 business days of arrival.
Secure Lab: Your device is stored in a climate-controlled, insured, and ESD-safe environment.
