The sixth bowl of God's wrath
The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. (Revelation 16:12) The sixth bowl of God’s wrath is totally symbolic. The Babylonians army used the Euphrates River as a protection or a defense against all enemy of the nation. The LORD will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that anyone can cross over in sandals. (Isaiah 11:15) God the Almighty opened the red sea and turned into dry ground for the people of Israel cross over to go to the promise land. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. (Exodus 14: 21-22)
The Euphrates is the longest and one of the most historically important rivers of West Asia. Together with the Tigris it is one of the two defining rivers of Mesopotamia. Originating in eastern Turkey the Euphrates flows through Syria and Iraq to join the Tigris in the Shatt al-Arab that empties into the Persian Gulf. From the east I summon a bird of prey from a far off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about what I have planned, that I will do. (Isaiah 46: 11) "Announce and proclaim among the nations, lift up a banner and proclaim it; keep nothing back, but say, 'Babylon will be captured; Bel will be put to shame, Marduk filled with terror. Her images will be put to shame and her idols filled with terror.' A nation from the north will attack her and lay waste her land. No one will live in it; both people and animals will flee away. (Jeremiah 50: 2-3) "Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow. "But I have stirred up a leader who will come from the north. I have called him by name from the east. I will give him victory over kings and princes. He will trample them as a potter treads on clay. God the Almighty called Cyrus by name and Isaiah chapters 40-55 dating from the time of the Israelites exile in Babylon or in the 6th century by an author whose identity is unknown, generally called Second Isaiah or deutero-Isaiah, and incorporated in the book. Cyrus came from the east for the conquest of Babylon. (Isaiah 41:2, 5) When I say of Cyrus, 'He is my shepherd,' he will certainly do as I say. He will command, 'Rebuild Jerusalem'; he will say, 'Restore the Temple.'"(Isaiah 44:28)
These above prophecies of God fulfilled in 539 BC; when Cyrus conquered Babylon in the Battle of OPIS. In 539 to 331 BC The Medes and The Persians took over the kingdom from Babylon. The Neo-Babylonian Empire fell to Cyrus the Great, king of Persia, with a military engagement known as the Battle of OPIS. Cyrus (or his generals) devised a plan to use the Euphrates as the mode of entry to the city, ordering large camps of troops at each point and instructed them to wait for the signal. Awaiting an evening of a national feast among Babylonians (generally thought to refer to the feast of Belshazzar mentioned in Daniel 5) Cyrus' troops diverted the Euphrates river upstream, causing the Euphrates to drop to about ‘mid thigh level on a man' or to dry up altogether. The soldiers marched under the walls through the lowered water. The Persian Army conquered the outlying areas of the city's interior while majority of Babylonians at the city center were oblivious to the breach. Persian entered the city without a fight. After Cyrus conquered Babylon he gave the kingdom to Darius the Mede. It was predicted in Isaiah 13:17-19 Jeremiah 51:13 Daniel 5:31. Medes and Persian Empire gave the Jewish people freedom from captivity in Babylon. The king Cyrus issued a decree for the Jews to return to Jerusalem and rebuild it. Ezra 1.
Its power had grown enormously under its king, Cyrus II, who had conquered a huge swathe of territory to create an empire that covered an area corresponding to the modern countries of Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan. The only remaining significant unconquered power in the Near East was the Neo-Babylonian Empire, which controlled Mesopotamia and subject kingdoms such as Syria, Judea, Phoenicia, and parts of Arabia. It had been closely linked with Cyrus's enemies elsewhere. The empire was previously an ally of Croesus of Lydia, whose kingdom was overrun by the Persians a few years prior to the invasion of Babylonia. By the time of the battle, Babylonia was in an unpromising geopolitical situation; the Persian Empire bordered it to the north, east and west. According to Herodotus, Cyrus marched to Babylon along the side of the Diyala River where the Persians fought a battle with the Babylonians near the capital. Cyrus subsequently laid siege to Babylon, ordering his troops to dig a canal to drain off part of the Euphrates to enable his troops to penetrate the city through weak points in its defenses. Xenophon provides a similar but more elaborate account, claiming that Cyrus dug a huge trench around the city to divert the Euphrates and make the riverbed passable for the Persian army. Herodotus, Xenophon and the Biblical Book of Daniel all assert that the Babylonians were taken by surprise while celebrating a festival.
The Book of Revelation chapter 17 gave a lot of information about a woman called Babylon the Great. Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters. With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries." A mysterious name was written on her forehead: "Babylon the Great, Mother of All Prostitutes and abomination in the World." The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. The only time we know that Euphrates River had been dried up it was in a military engagement called the battle of OPIS. When Cyrus dug a huge trench around the city to divert the Euphrates and make the riverbed passable for the Persian army. The same thing is going to happen in the case of a woman called Babylon the Great. Her name symbolized the global Christian religious organization of Satan the devil. Religions cause a lot of problems in history of the world and continue in the same path. The Bible said that Babylon the Great is The Mother of all prostitutes and abomination in the world. She committed adultery with the kings of the earth.
What does the Euphrates river in the sixth bowl of God’s wrath symbolize? Now it is question of Babylon the Great that is a symbol of the global Christian religious organization of Satan the devil. Babylon the Great sits on many waters. (Revelation 17:1) These waters serve as a protection for her. Just like Euphrates River was a protection for the Babylonian empire before its conquest. The Bible clearly said: "The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. (Revelation 17:15) When the angel pours out his bowl on the great river Euphrates and its water will dry up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. (Revelation 16:12) The pouring of the sixth bowl will provoke a situation that will cause people of the whole wide world to stop going to churches altogether. The Euphrates river symbolized the many waters Babylon the Great sits upon which are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. People protect religions. Without them religions will be vulnerable to all kind of threats, attacks and invasions of any enemy. This will put the religious clergies, ecclesiastics, bishops, cardinals and the papacy in great danger. There is no more protection no money no glory. The religious clergies, ecclesiastics, bishops and the papacy will be in great trouble.
A lot of churches have been closed in every part of the world since January 2000 because less people attended religious meeting. This condition happened in all kind of faith and religion in the world. Everybody knows that the Vatican City is a state or a country the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church. The Pope is the sovereign of the state. They have their own representatives in almost every nation of the world. They have a seat as a permanent observer in the United Nations they have no vote because they chose not to have one. They are a religious government but mixed with politics of the world. Most of Christian religions of the world openly participated in politics. That God forbade his people to be part of the world. That is what the Bible called prostitution or adultery with the kings of the earth. (Revelation 17: 2) This is the reason God the Creator is going to destroy all religions that take part in politics of this world. Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place." (John 18:36) "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. (John 15:18-19)
As soon as people, and nations of the world stop supporting all kind of religion, and faith that participate in politics of this world the river symbolic Euphrates will dry up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Then the angel said to me, "The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. (Revelation 17:15) So peoples, multitudes, nations and languages symbolically represented the river Euphrates. Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. (Revelation 17:3) This scarlet beast that had seven heads and ten horns the woman Babylon the Great sits on is the United Nations that symbolized the kings from the East. That means one day just like today United Nations will destroy all religions of the earth. For God will put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose. (Revelation 17:17) There will not be global freedom of religions. It is very important for people of the whole wide world to be careful in the choice of religion and the doctrine that has been teaching by their leaders. Only holy people get into the Messianic Kingdom. It will be a thousand years to live with Jesus Christ in peace, happiness and security for all. The greatest enemy of humankind Satan the devil will not be there to mislead the nations. And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. Revelation 20: 1-3
