Either than that I've cleaned out Origin's caches (still the same result) and uninstalling/installing the Sims 4 several times over (still the same result). I've never had this problem before. When I played the Sims 4 on my Mac, I was able to cancel any downloads Origin wanted to automatically download and didn't have an issue...EVER. Now that I'm playing Sims 4 on a PC laptop, every time I login, Origin wants to download the GP/FP I keep trying to cancel. BTW, I'm doing this because of storage and game lag. Thanks to anyone who so happens to stumble upon my question and can give me a little advice/help...It Will Be Well Appreciated.
Today the sims3 game is even more wonkie. 01/12,13 /24, launcher daily deals missing.Did not think that would cause an issue in game oh was I wrong. Lost all my build patterns and colors as well as cas patterns,colors but not my saved sims or house builds In the download folder today has NAV.BIN 03 11 23 & MSI.BIN dated 12 23 23 But no WL.BIN and email is missing. The MSI.BIN is new? Is the launcher working an is stable for downloading for a new launcher and stuff Or do a move of the file folder download renamed and launch the launcher? Or Copy the Old sims files over? Old from 2022 download folder,has the WL.Bin an NAV.BIN an the email, will this cas and bulid stuff patterns and colors be gone? Will the edit town save the builds and sims familes? I would assume it will be gone.

@diopter77 Patterns are launcher-installed content and are stored in bundles inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads. Saved sims are stored in the SavedSims folder, and saved households and builds inside Library. So it wouldn't be surprising for one type of content to disappear while another does not.
User folder} Update moved the MIS.Bin out of the download file to the recycle bin. The email returned,No WL.BIN. Vanilla game just to see if things were okay. No patterns or colors from the cas. Build mode is the same. Create a patterns are launcher/ uploads saves. Edit town has sims and builds. Cas has the pre saved sims with some of their names and clothing with patterns to add. Check the games saves,an update
As for looking for bad/corrupt files, the mod should have picked that up. Some info on the MSI.Bin from 2016 nraas web page.Thought was a stuck aging up sims possible. Still does not explain the missing email, or wl.bin cause unknown. Great for you that your game is perfect for me not so much stop gaming middle of dec and open to a mess that was my own doing of not thinking the launcher for launching game non sign... not into the store... was not up to par. Do use the offline an shortcut not the app still need to use the app and select offiline an the choice of sims 3 or sims 4 in my case, click the shortcut on the desktop, starting from the desktop still goes to launcher with the no sign just guessing thats why an email address is in the download folder... You still have to go click an launch the game either way. Sure some will go from the file folder and click have not,might go a head see what happens. Even if I use the back up sims3 drive, still need to redo all the create a style/cas &build mode as well, thinks its a new game. Also notices that when your in the cas,click open the launcher it was missing the checks on the installed content part in an older save. Working on snip. New finding go to the loading screen click open launcher from the desktop. 2 launchers. This download file is toast! Will try an rename download file moving it out to desktop and launch again maybe some of it will be okay lol. New download file no email. Just nav.bin an wl.bin is back no email.
