The Siblings Project was created in the light of Pali High's mission to inspire students of all backgrounds to create a positive difference in the community. We look to inspire friendships and memories while working to unite people from all walks of life under one common goal: supporting each other. Our program pairs participating students with Pali High Students who would serve as their “Older Sibling”. Partners will plan weekly or bi-weekly virtual meetings at the time of their convenience and have the opportunity to pursue any bonding activity. They can play games, talk, educate each other, and share ideas, all while creating friendships and memories.
Every “Older Sibling” is a current student at Palisades Charter High School who has undergone an extensive training and application process. Their journey begins with a written application that analyzes personality, maturity, ability, and interests. Furthermore, each written application is personally reviewed by our Cabinet. Students who make it past the written application are then given a solo interview in order to further gauge if they would be a good fit for our program. After the interviews, our final pool is selected and moved into training. If you have any questions about the application process, feel free to contact our Director of Affairs.
We at the Siblings Project value a certain skill set within our program and therefore take the time to train our Siblings in the necessary topics in order to ensure a quality experience. These topics include proper communication, appropriate conduct, how to work with children, etc. We understand that parents are placing a certain level of trust within our program and therefore go the extra mile. If you have any questions about the training process, feel free to contact our Director of Instruction.
